Etheldoris Stein Grais in the kitchen
Etheldoris Stein Grais' fishballs
Etheldoris Stein Grais developed her interest in cooking as a child in Hibbing, MN. After her marriage in 1943 to Arnold Grais, she devoted herself to family and community service. In 1960 she began taking cooking lessons and soon found herself teaching. During extensive travels, she took classes from world-famous cooks. She credits her friends from the many ethnic groups in her hometown for introducing her to the diversity of cuisines she has mastered.
