“Jews in Baseball” Will examine the history of Jewish participation in the national past time, ranging  from the very first Jewish baseball player players in the early days of baseball to modern times, including the two dozen  Jews now in Major League Baseball teams, and many others before them as well as owners, administrators, sports writers and broadcasters and even shady characters. It also will highlight some of the most significant events involving Jewish ballplayers, including the famous occasion when Sandy Koufax sat out the first game of the 1965 World Series in Minnesota due to Yom Kippur and other Minnesota- related tidbits.  It will culminate with Tanick’s All-time Jewish All-Star baseball team  and  Jewish “Hall of Fame“ as well as a concluding Jewish baseball quiz.
