This special documentary screening will cover the life and legacy of Joe Numero, a visionaryentrepreneur and philanthropist. Numero, the owner of Thermo King and the namesake of Joeand Blanche Numero Sholom Home West, helped transform everyday life through innovationand leadership.​

 

This film explores Numero’s early years, his service in World War I, and his partnership withFrederick McKinley Jones — a self-taught engineer and one of the most prolific inventors of the20th century. Together, they revolutionized the way food is transported by creating refrigeratedtransportation systems that forever changed how the world eats.
